Happy Birthday, Crystal!

This entry is dedicated to the woman I love, Crystal. The most beautiful woman in the world, and my wife. Since her birthday is strategically close to Valentines Day I have decided to relate an astonishing 31 things that are great, funny, or quite simply unique about her.

1. She is extraordinarily young compared to her many other young friends.
2. She is a great mother of 3 boys who overwhelmingly (and unfortunately) take after their father.
3. She makes a lot of noise when eating cornflakes.
4. She can drive a stick shift and I cannot, and I don't feel less manly about it.
5. She looks smart in glasses.
6. She is one of the best singers I have heard.
7. She loves God.
8. In stressful situations, she is very resourceful about getting things done.
9. She is fearless when it comes to negotiations.
10. In spite of my traveling further away from her comfort zone, she continues to follow me.
    
11. Since arriving in Seoul, she has become a wonderful cook, including pizza.
12. She is a very caring mother, and has saved our children more than once by teaching me about proper baby care.
13. She crochets excellent blankets and wish she would make more.
14. She is always willing to help or teach someone.
15. She owns 18 scrapbooks and has an entire room filled with scrapbook materials.
16. She has many wonderful friends who encourage her and advise her.
17. She is too friendly.
    
18. She owns 100 pairs of socks.
19. She also owns 8 Vera Bradley bags and zero Louis Vuitton bags.
20. Her favorite color is lavender.
21. Her favorite musician is Steven Curtis Chapman (I'm jealous).
22. She is (still) saving up for a stick shift yellow VW bug.
    
23. I think she has a terrific and pretty smile.
24. Nothing makes me happier than when she laughs at my jokes.
25. I have known Crystal for more than half of my life (and hers).
26. Her willingness to spend time with me astounds me. (and others)
    
27. The fact that we are both Christians has greatly enriched our relationship.
28. She has a funny sense of humor.
    
29. She is compassionate.
    
30. I think that I am the only person that loves her as much as I do.
31. She is 31 years old, and that is okay. Happy Birthday, babe!
