Welcome To Crystal's Blog

It is my prayer that God will use my writings to bless you today. I write straight from the heart. I write as a venue to praise God, and grow as a woman. I am a woman saved by grace! I am married to the most amazing man, and I have been blessed with four beautiful children. God uses my family to teach me and subsequently increases my faith in Him. At times I write through tears of joy, and at times tears of sorrow. Join me as I honestly share my heart and give God praise for His love!

Making God's Desires Our Desires

So often we think we know what we need.  I can be quite controlling with the Lord at times.  I pray and explain my desires.  However, I try to tell him what to give me...  At times God blesses us with our desires, and other times we are blessed by His desires.  I do believe asking God for our desires is biblically acceptable.  The abundant blessings come from accepting His will above our own.  Mathew 7:7 states, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."  So often Christians take this verse too literally.  For example, I ask God for a girl.  I got three boys. Does this mean God broke his promise to me? Absolutely NOT...  God answered my prayer by blessing me with the MOST wonderful, healthy, and good hearted men.  A good friend of mine told me, "God knows more Godly men are needed on this Earth.  He's trusted you and your husband with the future generation.  We dedicate to raising them under God according to scripture.  I feel  100% content with the family God has given me.  I am thankful God's will prevailed above my own.  My faith has increased abundantly as a result of God's "No's". Time and time again I see God's No's resulting in much more fulfilling result's than my origional requests.  Everyday God overrides many of my requests.  I praise God for each override.  God answers my prayers with "yes's" on a dailly basis. He alots me the desires of my heart.  Upon moving to S. Korea we prayed for a Biblically sound, loving, and God-fearing church.  Although our answer wasn't received right away.  God lead us to a Biblical and God-fearing church.  We feel such happiness worshiping the Lord at Seoul Union Church.  Thank you Lord for knowing our needs.  Thank you for directing our daily lives and allowing us the opportunity to experience  your peace and satisfaction.  Thank you for our ever growing "faith"!
