SFS was closed this week due to Swine Flu. It has been difficult because we were in the school routine. They were happy, we were happy, and Daniel wasn't thrilled with the boys being gone all day. We were all adjusting. Then Wa, La. The health department shut the school down for one week. I have a new appreciation for teachers and home schooling mothers. I realized that homeschooling is a tough job. I was a terrible teacher!!! I am glad my children can safely go to school to learn, and I can reinforce at home what they are being taught. My home, the kids, their bedrooms, and everything was MESSY. I spent many hours cleaning the house, to find it trashed five minutes later. I then realized "What is the point? I could have spent more happy hours playing with the children. The two lessons I learned from swine flu... 1) School is a happy place and TEACHERS are WONDERFUL "ANGELS" sent from HEAVEN. 2) The house will always be messy, but the children will not always be small.
A Little Wisdom from the Unwise : Send your children to school and be sure to say a special "THANK YOU" to the teachers.
(And Jesus says, "Let the little children come unto me"...)
