Your Daughter, Whom You Love
I prayed Lord, "Why Is She Here?"
There must be a reason.
What are your plans for a 12 year old girl,
living in our home for 3 months?
Is it for me? Is it for her?
Or for the greater good of all?
Will you use me to teach her?
Or her to teach me?
How will this impact our lives?
Will she fit in?
At what point did you begin your work,
I can't recall?
How could you use me,
In the midst of sickness, grief, and persistent teaching?
How is it she taught me to love,
To see only good in the people You love?
When did she become family?
And a friend?
Lord, our home seems empty.
Something is missing.
She was never ours,
but you allowed her to share our lives for 3 months.
I pray Lord,
You use her to reach Your world.
Use her as a vessel,
to love Your people unconditionally.
How blessed we were to share her life,
if only for a short time.
Lord, guide her as she becomes a woman.
A woman with a heart to serve You.
Protect her Lord,
She is Your daughter.
Your daughter, whom You love!
